The beretta neos is sleek and ergonomic, constructed of five assemblies that can be disassembled without using tools. This makes it very easy to strip and clean. The look of the beretta neos is not the only strange thing about its design. The rail is on top of the gun as opposed to on the side, and interchangeable grips on the handle allow the user to customize the gun by adding colored grips. Though interchangeable, these ergonomic grips work well and aid in accurate shooting. It also has an ambidextrous safety, along with a lighter-than-most weight.

The beretta neos is part of a line of  semi-automatic, single-action-only beretta pistols, available in three barrel lengths; 4.5″, 6″ and 7.5″. Like most beretta pistols, the beretta neos is manufactured in both the United States and Italy.

Beretta has also developed a conversion kit that allows the user to convert their beretta neos into a functional long arm. This kit is very user friendly in that no gunsmithing is required to assemble it.
